Beautiful and unique Arts and Crafts, hand painted Czech/Bavarian 6-piece place setting includes a dinner plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate, soup bowl, cup and saucer. The individual pieces are blanks from 3 different makers – Hutschenreuther (Selb, Bavaria), Epiag (Czecho-Slovakia) and H & Co (Heinrich - Selb, Bavaria). The painting on the pieces is all the same – my assumption is a decorating house purchased the blanks to put their design on and sell. The Art and Crafts / Art Nouveau design dates this china to the early part of the 20th century, 1910-1920. It features an organic, highly stylized multicolored form on the verge of the pieces, with pale apricot border on the rim. The interior glaze is an eggshell-yellow, very pale, and this varies slightly from piece to piece. Condition is very good. This is beautiful, fine bone china. I found no chips, cracks or other serious issues. There is some wear on the gold trim on the edges of plates – please see photos. Heavy gilding on the handle of the cup is intact. Glaze misses occurred on some of the pieces I have here, which appear as small white spots in the very pale yellow eggshell finish. These are manufacturing flaws and have no bearing on value. You may see a couple skips on the pieces you receive – I have three place settings available. I have quite a few pieces of this pattern, including some serving pieces. Some are being offered as a service for 4. Others are offered individually. The largest plate is luncheon sized - 9 1/4". Salad Plate is 7 1/2" Bread or Dessert plate is 6 7/8" Bowl is 7 1/2" Cup is 3" with 5 5/8" saucer
